I am asked this question often by those who are not "into" spanking [non-spankos].
The question is easier asked than answered [at least for me]. Many seemingly simple questions are the most difficult to answer.
The simple answer is: "I don't know why ... I just do." However, that might appear to be a non-answer to many.
In reality, the answer is "because that is the way I am" or "that is the way that I am wired". There are many things that I like or dislike and cannot explain why. I like the taste of certain foods and dislike others - I don't know why - but my taste buds know what I like and don't like.
Basically, it is because of my DNA or the "spanking gene". If it is not genetic, then how do you explain those who were never spanked as a child, yet have a desire for it; or those who were spanked as a child, but hate it?
I can't explain to non-spankos why that I like spanking any more than I can explain why I am gay or why I like lettuce but not cabbage.
So, the next time someone asks me "why do you like spanking?" ... I will answer "because it's in my genes".
